What does it say about our psyche when every question is funnier when you put [NSFW] in front of it?
Go to the front page of Fluther, read the first question you see and insert [NSFW] at the beginning.
For example:
[NSFW] Any ideas for raising money for going over to germany?
Now why is this funny to us?

Ohhhhhhh…that was good lol.
I agree with @rangerr but if I picture you in a grass skirt and the NSFW then it becomes funny!
It made me chuckle,so there!
hmmm aren’t you supposed to be working while at work?I’m telling on you ! :)
So, it’s like the Seinfeld thing of adding “in bed” to any fortune cookie fortune? Let’s see”
(NSFW) How do you feel about organ donation?
Yikes!
(NSFW) Do you ever want someone to see just how much pain you are in?
Eeek!
Seems to work!
I have to be honest here, nowadays when I see NSFW in front of questions here on Fluther, it seems really trite and unfunny since there seems to be way too many of them being asked. But that’s just me.
In the direct example that you demonstrated in your question details, I can kind of see some humor in that instance, Captain Fantasy.
[NSFW] How do I get the pickle jar open?
[NSFW] Why is my poop yellow?
It says that potty humor is still alive and kicking!
I never thought it made questions funny…my psyche must be broken.
In fact, I think the label is actually annoying. It looks like a new Internet fad that people use to look more mature or something, and looking at Fluther’s guidelines I don’t really get why it’s necessary.
Is anything here safe for work haha.
But no, I don’t know, maybe it’s because people imagine something nasty and immature, like yellow poop, using yogurt as yeast infection treatment or someone wondering if they should, or should not, fuck their sister. Such nonsense was quite prominent on places like AB where you expect people to say funny ass shit, but over here is a little more mature…so perhaps people have been nearly conditioned by the Internet’s vast amount of idiocy to the point that any warning pointing to mature subject matter is almost always going to be something funny…but no, for me putting NSFW in front of a question won’t make it funny.
I’m just supposing here, with my answer…I didn’t notice that other people might change their approach to a question due to the label.
[NSFW] What can I do with one sock?
(NSFW) How can I make wearing a respiratory mask more comfortable?
Hm.
Hardy har har…
It makes it look as if you’re welcoming naughty answers by putting (NSFW) in front of a seemingly harmless question. All of a sudden, your mind goes to the gutter about how to make that question seem dirty and all of the dirty answers you can respond with. Kind of fun.
[NSFW] What are some good uses for this old flashlight?
My questions:
What does the American flag symbolize?
Why is there no “woman up”?
What realizations have you come to?
Do you adhere to the “No romance without finance” school of thought?
If you liked it, should you be expected to put a ring on it?
What are some advantages seldom noticed that women in American society have that men do not?
And then…

@bob_ [NSFW] If you liked it, should you be expected to put a ring on it?
Now, that one is pretty funny.
@Vunessuh A good point, I never thought of the desire to perversly alyer a question at the sight of a welcoming factor…but then whether it’s there or not my guttery mind is always at work.
Now I think we can work with that. :D
@bob_ If you liked it, should you be expected to put a ring on it?
Isn’t that some crap song by Beyonce or something?
