What is something you hope and pray for daily?
I hope and pray for more research. For a cure for Autism and many other incurable diseases.
Modern Science has the potential to do so.

The health & recovery for several friends of mine. They’re always in my heart.
That is great what you pray for, mine will seem a little tedious after that, but it is either death or 100% recovery.
I’m still alive and I can still breathe until nowadays. And the Extraordinary talent He gave me. Sometime I feel guilty If I’m not praying.
Discovery of causes and cure for Autism . . . and the perennial world peace, of course. Plus, if so destined, winning a lotto jackpot!
With all due respect… don’t you think that if you used the time that you spend hoping and praying to make a real impact, such as making donations or organizing rallies for increased government spending for medical research, it might do more to help?
@njnyjobs
Ditto for me.
If I won lotto. I would help Autistic people.
I make donations and inform people daily. I am not a millionaire.
@jfos
When Bush was President research continued every place but in the USA.
Private donations are not enough.
@philosopher When Bush was president he was a big prayer. Maybe hoping and praying is not enough…
@jfos
I do way more than pray.
I am involved with organizations that do things.
Until you are a parent you will not comprehend my pain.
My sister’s pain would lessen and that she’d be able to lead a normal life.
I have hoped for disease cures too :)
@philosopher Ah, I see. I think I know someone in Autism Society, but I’ve never heard of Autism’s Peaks. I’ll have to check out the link.
It is Autism Speaks formaly Can. Cure Autism Now.
I’m selfish – for my children’s continued health.
@jfos Autism is an issue that is close to home for me and philosopher. In addition to our prayers, I do what I can to help support the causes. Being affected by Autism whether directly to a person or at someone who cares for an Autistic person, is not something I would wish on anyone. Autism is a life-long disability. Yes, there are other disabilities out there, but this is my personal affiliation.
@njnyjobs I just want to say… By no means am I discounting Autism/Asperger’s. I am discounting the use of prayer as a means for curing it.
@jfos it’s not so much as relying on prayer to be the primary way of curing diseases or solving problems, rather a request to the Almighty God that one puts faith in, be it in guiding scientists in the right direction or giving them the wisdom to solve the puzzles/disorders…. People pray because they have Faith. People who don’t have Faith don’t pray, and I have nothing against those people. My only hope is that those without Faith need not mock People who do have Faith.
Good health, wisdom, and guidance.
That the one I love remains safe and well.
That more young people become interested in how Earth can accommodate 9 billion people in 2050. We need creative future-oriented people. We need people who are interested in science and engineering. We already have too many investment bankers and lawyers.
@mattbrowne those are the same young people who, if they really cared about the population explosion, should listen to their parents and elders about the importance of sex education and avoid unwanted pregnancies.
