What if Apple had included a built-in phone in the iPad ?
People have complained the iPad does not have a built-in phone feature but what if eventually it did, would it have to be exclusively paired with a Bluetooth headset or could people hold it up their heads and carry on a conversation while looking like a moron?

People are already morons, but their wrists might begin to ache.
Who’s complaining about this? Who wants to carry around a satchel or backpack all the time so that they can answer calls?
If you could share the same phone number between an iPad* and an iPhone (and they both rang at the same time) it might be kinda neat, but it’s a non-requirement.
I’m fine with a mobile that I can keep in my pocket.
* Headphones with a built-in mic, bluetooth headset, or loudspeaker would probably work okay for making and answering calls.
My only real objection to the iPad (besides the stupid menses related name) is that it doesn’t really replace a laptop, and why I would need such an intermediate device is still a mystery to me.
Imagining the iPad being used as a phone makes me think of the recurring sketch in Trigger Happy TV (Link probably has NSFW language. It definitely is loud).
A phone will come, for sure. It definitely doesn’t need it right now, tho. Let it evolve.
It would have been called iCan’tReadMyiPhone.
I think they should have at least should have added a camera!
@crazyzo2000, yeah I’ll buy that. I kind of expected it too. Though it would have made it nearly impossible to take pictures without looking like a complete moron. :)
No one needs an iPad, God, just get an iPhone, a MacBook, or both…
My not so subtle opinion…
Yeah, but people always want what they don’t have, or need.
@crazyzo2000 I don’t have cancer or a sucking chest wound, nor do I need them, but you sure as hell won’t catch me wanting them.
well not with everything! haha
