I often have this dream that all my teeth fall out. Last night was no different except that in my dream world every time I went to sleep I would pull out a tooth or pieces would break off. Is there a dream specialist out there that knows what this means? Also, feel free to share your own weird dreams!

…...I know it seems obvious…BUT often when you have dreams like this it means you should go to the dentist. Your body might be trying to tell you something.
I’d say it has something to do with how you feel about your appearance. Not having teeth when you smile would be an awful way to all of a sudden find yourself.
@j0ey… Yeah I went last week. I thought that I could be grinding my teeth because I’ve had a heavy work load, but he said my teeth look great.
This is a commonly documented dream….. millions of people have it regularly. It just means that you are stressed out right now.
I agree with @JeffVader, this is a common anxiety dream. I have had this dream many a time when life gets hectic or when I’m worried about something. Either that or I dream about being late, or turning up naked at school, or being forced to poop in public. All anxiety dreams.
Keep the mouse still on this comic strip and read the note that comes up after you read the strip itself
I never had the teeth falling out dream until I had braces. I had braces back in the dark ages when the process was not unlike torture. Following this stellar experience, I started having dreams wherein I would fall forward when walking up steps, thereby knocking out my front teeth. Gratefully, I haven’t had that type of dream in years!
Losing teeth in a dream indicates letting go of old ideas and beliefs. Don’t worry, relax and let them go.
@ldeb Please trust me on this. Teeth are the gateway to sustenance in life. They are the first step in the digestive process: breaking up the food prior to swallowing.
In dreams digestion applies to handling new information, circumstances, and other experiences that you have anxiety about not being able to break down, take in—or “swallow.”
The teeth falling out or falling apart represent this feeling of helplessness in the face of not being able to break down incoming experiences.
The feeling of embarrassment that accompanies dreams with teeth falling out is not about surface issues such as your looks, appearance, or anxieties about how you will come across. This feeling within the dream is a secondary reaction—an internal consciousness—about how you would feel if it were true in real life. If you honestly consider that embarrassing feeling within the dream, it is actually more akin to a feeling of helplessness. That feeling of helplessness is the real root (pun intended) of the dream’s meaning.
@davidk How very enlightening, that makes perfect sense to me. Would that apply to a dream where my mouth is so full of food I can’t swallow or talk, and the more I try to get the food out the more it seems to grow?
How about being naked in public in a dream? Does that fall under another category?
@Trillian Now you are making me wish I had the teeth-falling-out dreams again! I have some old ideas I need to dump . . .
