Why are my dogs eating their own poop!
I feed them enough, but after they poop, sometimes they will eat it! Also, if they find some that’s dried up in the yard, they’ll eat that too. I try to look on the brightside that my yard is free of poop, but it is really disgusting!!!

Coprophagia is fairly common in dogs. If it’s their own stool that they are eating, you can use a product called Forbid that gets added to their food and then makes the poop unpalatable (as hard as it is to beleive it’s palatable in the first place).
Like snarp said. or maybe your feeding table scraps. and again, like syz said, use forbid. Because yes it i gross. My dog used to do it too, i dam near killed him, lol he dont do it anymore.
I don’t think my dog actually eats poop, but I also try to pick it up as soon as it is deposited and I don’t allow my dog to sniff at poop when we’re walking, so he never gets a chance to eat it.
This is not unusual behavior for dogs.
Because they can is the basic answer to the question. That’s also the same answer to why they lick their balls :)
This is why cats are easier to deal with. Much too dignified to stoop to the level of eating poop. How gross ! They would likely say if they could speak.
:D
@ucme….. hahahahahahahahahahahahahah.:)
Maybe it is a criticism of your cooking.
Maybe they are just being Green trying to not leave a big carbon foot print by recycling…
The easiest way to fix this is by picking up the poop and disposing of it as soon as possible. (This will also reduce the negative impact on the local water table, by the way!)
Next, is to use a supplement that contains spices that make the feces unpalatable – the one I had for old Bub contained a lot of cinnamon and paprika. Feed every dog in the house one tablet a day, and no more poop-eating!
Watch the kitty litter, though. My puppy has an affinity for cat poo. Weird animals, these canines.
