Why does my panasonic lcd go straight to standby sometimes when i turn it on?

It only happens sometimes what could it be?

Check that the air vents in the back, top/bottom etc., aren’t choked with dust, It needs circulation to stay cool.

The (stand-by)-button of the remote could be dirty.
Or you accidentally sit on the remote which turns the tv off?
Happens to me every now and then.
