I am 18 months without a period now. No HRT or other hormone supplements. Feel fine. :-)
However, just this last week my breasts have began hurting, as if I am about to have a period again! Have any of you 50ish women had this happen? Is it possible to go this long and then have a cycle again?

If you are concerned about this, you need to ask your doctor. I suspect it is normal, but just in case, it’s always good to get a medical opinion.
What’s really weird is to have breasts yearning to feed the infant grandson when babysitting on the weekends, like mine do.
Dangit, still haven’t had this happen to me. Why can’t I have menopause like everybody else?
I wouldn’t think so, not after 18 months. Depending on how long it lasts, you may want to see your doc.
Yes, thats coming up, I am not too concerned, it has to be a hormone surge I’m guessing!
Sheesh…this stuff lasts forever! lol
Oooh…lightbulb moment!!!
Hmmm…I have been wearing a new bra the last 2 weeks..maybe I am holding them too tightly! hahahaha
Okay..I am going to stop wearing this bra and see what happens….OMG! Now I feel compleltly stupid! hahaha!
There have been pregnancies when the woman was convinced she was done. That would make breasts hurt…..and brains…..and…
wearing bras too much- freedom for the girls!!
@faye
lol…they are free now! haha
And….bite your tongue woman! No pregnancies…ever again….be still! lol
I’m not post-menopausal, but have friends that are. They have said that they still get some bloating and tenderness. Based on their anecdotal evidence, I would say it’s possible.

Yes, it’s a long strange trip! lol
I still get the night sweats thing, leap out of bed naked and run to the front door in the middle of the night and fan myself with the door! lol
