What computer parts should I buy in China?
I’ve been planning on custom-building a computer for a while now. In a few weeks, I leave for a business trip to China and would like to buy some parts there since they are less costly there. If I buy them there, I will lose any chance of getting them replaced or serviced in the event that they are faulty. Which parts would be worth buying there? Which ones would I save the most money on?

Be careful buying there, my brother works in the East and has been there for the past 2 years. He was in China for 8 months working there and he thought along the same lines. Then when he went out to buy stuff he noticed alot of it was garbage and very cheaply made imitations with label of the “real company” just slapped on there. He said you can find the good stuff but it doesn’t cost much less than here. He bought what he thought was a Sony DSLR camera ( I mean it looked as real as the real thing) but after a couple weeks it fell apart and stopped working.
Yes be careful of the fake brand shops. You can have copied hardware that will be cheaper but for the normal product the price will be kind of the same than in US or Europe. Be careful to go in the official shops, usually they are in the big mall where you can find fancy brands.
Else you can go to Hong Kong where the price will be cheaper I think, and for real hardware, China mainland is not so attractive on this side.
First of all, what are you trying to custom build?
you can get dvd-rw or blu-ray drives, which will get occasional use. you can also pick-up wireless-N adapter and gigabyte Video card…. for motherboard, power supply and memory, it’s best to get them from a reputable supplier in your home state/country whre you can benefit from possible product warranty.
