Night light conundrum.
Could someone who has the tools to carry out this task, please do so & let me know the results. Thanks…
Conundrum—
If you have two light sensor night lights (the ones that turn on when its dark) & you plug them into the same outlet, side-by-side, will the following scenario happen?? When it gets dark, both night lights will kick on, but the bright light from both lights will trigger the other night light’s sensor & they will both shut off…when off, it will be dark again & so the night lights will turn back on again & will continue this forever loop of off/on/off/on until the light bulbs burn out? i.e, cheap strobe light. :) I’d love to know what would happen. Thanks.

Sounds great. Plug them into every available light & power socket, add extension cords, and invite people for a flicker party.
I unfortunately don’t have two light sensor night lights on hand to help you out, but I like the way you think. XD
How about this: would this happen if two street lights were placed too close together?
I think they would be dimmed…Try putting two cell phones speaker to mic.. it you want cheap entertainment
Also, how are the night lights prevented from sensing their own light?
@Mariah – I imagine it’s by having something opaque between the light and the sensor, and/or by having the trigger level be brighter than the night light itself produces.
This question cracks me up. I hope someone tries it.
I did that. Accidently. They flickered in a most irritating way. Had to move one into another location.
Dunno if there’s enough stray light for the side-by-side setup to work. But maybe if they were facing each other…
Just aim the sensors away from each other.
No, put them in sequence facing the same direction, or curving, and see if you can get a “crawling light” effect!
@Zaku, yes… instead of traditional, strands of holiday lights, I’ll set up 200 night lights on a curved surge strip. My driveway will look like a landing strip at an airport.
great, sensitive control bright night lights, they are suitable for the staircase light
