What is a HIM Tech?

Without getting into too much detail, right now I’m working more or less as a Pharmacy Tech and theres a position open for a HIM Tech in the Hospital. As far as I can tell, you basically work with patient documents all day. I can’t find a good description anywhere online (I googled before I bothered any of you, trust me ;P)

And who doesn’t love a good desk job working with computers all day (and I’d have a better shift. Thank God)!

If anyone has any answers for me, I’d really appreciate it.
