What is the term for "artificial sincerity" coined by Stephen Colbert?

holy crap, that was fast. “truthiness” may be it. what i’m looking for is a term i heard colbert use during an interview on cnn. he defined it as “fake sincerity”. making something mundane seem important. for some reason i think it was more of a stoic adjective. ive been trying to find it on youtube, but to no avail.
