Nancy Pelosi (she is loyal to her king)
Someone dark, mysterious, sexy, & androgynous. They do what they believe is right, no matter what the authorities say.
Truck drivers. They’re like modern day cowboys, in my opinion.
The military and the police.
@thriftymaid Really? To me it sounds like a character from a nice, smutty, yaoi story!
I think of a knight as chivalrous, polite, and ready to defend a woman’s honor. The first person who popped into my head was…
wait a sec…
damn.
Bodyguards or military people, among others, who will risk their lives for a cause or to protect someone who may not even be someone they know.
I’ve been familiar with numbers of people who will place their principles and the safety of others over their own safety. I think we are not bereft of these individuals in the world today. At all.
@Draconess25 His followers would argue that he was exactly that.
My husband, and men like him.
The Secret Service. They protect and defend their king.
Researchers. They are on a quest that help mankind.
This, and maybe Paul McCartney. :D
Knighthood was at least partially an administrative role, and was inextricably tied to an aristocracy.
Knighthood hasn’t been knighthood since Grandma Elton went on bended knee before the (chuckle) Queen.
I’d have to say the closest thing is the Police…. supposedly there to protect us all, yet sadly populated by bullies who think that donning a uniform demands respect.
