General Question

What is the best way to open our presentation tomorrow?

Asked by ThundercatsMBA (8points) April 28th, 2010

Tomorrow, my team is giving our final presentation for our Tech Strategy course. Our subject is Fluther. What do you think would be the best way to open the presentation and why?

One of our ideas was to open it by asking a question to familiarize everyone with the site. If we did that, what kind of question should we ask—meta, course based, something chosen from an audience, something else entirely?

We’re very open to suggestions and presenting to an MBA class.

This might sound a bit easy, but your question could be a nice way to open it.

Yes, my fellow students, that is a question you could find on this website we will talk about with you today.

Read through the links at the bottom of this page for great tips and ideas. I some of the early blogs would be good potential suggestions.

What’s in it for them? What is the purpose of the presentation? Is it intended to get them to take action? or is this just informative?

Answers to those questions would help craft a more tailored answer for you.

Well if you want to open with a bang ask the audience to ask the most inane, technical, or just silly and whacky question they can come up with for Fluther. That will demonstrate the website’s purpose and ease of interaction, and get the audience actively invested and engaged in the outcome of what you are up there saying.

@JohnRobert: It’s an informative presentation. We’re presenting on Fluther as a representative of Q&A sites and as an interesting product/phenomenon in technology/IT/networking/what-have-you.
