Would you like to hear my debut album?
Because it’s ready and this is my official Fluther release party!
My debut album American Peasant is now available and I’d love it if you’d drop in and give it a listen! It’s free to listen online, so you’ve got nothing to lose! Check it out and let me know what you think.
I know it’s hard to tell from all the exclamation points… but I’m pretty fired up about it!

I’ve been listening all morning! We are all so proud of you!
I just started listening to it. I can’t pay too close of attention to lyrics and stuff since I’m at work, but your voice is so easy to listen to!
Congratulations!!!!!
That’s interesting. It’s completely opposite of what I usually listen to, but it made me stop and listen. I’m going to have to listen some more, but it did get my attention. Excellent instrumentals, and a very unique vocal style.
@Simone_De_Beauvoir It’s got kind of a haunting quality, if that makes any sense. I like the variety as well. Thanks for sending that my way.
@JeanPaulSartre, congratulations! Just listened to it all the way through. I agree with the “haunting” quality, but what stands out for me more is an authentic and honest voice. For me, it’s also one of those experiences where you realize something you’ve thought about before in so many different humdrum ways can also be thought about artfully and turned into a song. Nice work!
Also, thanks for introducing me to bandcamp. Sick site!
Congratulations! We’re all so proud of you!
I listened some yesterday, and I too vote for “haunting” and authentic. Congrats on finishing your project!
Aw – thank you all! I really appreciate it! I’ll take “authentic and honest” =)
I’m home and had a chance to listen. I really like it.
I love your voice. And, you did all of this on your own? Amazing! Unique and wonderful!
Congratulations and the best of luck.
Thanks @jjmah! I sure did do it on my own. Whew!
With lots of positive feedback from Simone, of course. =)
I really like it! Congratulations and good work.
@JeanPaulSartre What is your favorite song on it?
@JeanPaulSartre What did you end up doing about the drums? Is that a drum machine I hear at the beginning of “Save Their Own” or did you end up acquiring a little kit?
It’s good, though, I like it.
Congratulations! Recording an album is like giving birth.
@toomuchcoffee911 Thank you! My favorite… wow, I like ‘em for different reasons, I suppose today my favorite is the last one “Borrowed Earth” but probably only because I also finished it last (most of them aren’t in the order I wrote/recorded them) so it’s still resonating a bit more.
@dverhey Totally a midi drum set on “Save Their Own” but still have high hopes for getting a proper kit for my future work. Thank you! And thanks again for your advice on drums – definitely worth waiting a bit and getting a full kit.
Thanks @Sueanne_Tremendous – It really is quite a process!
It isn’t something I would normally listen to. But I did listen to the entire thing. Well done for a genera I usually avoid.
You have put your heart and soul into your music and thanks for sharing!
@johnpowell – Yeah, it’s not for everyone but thank you for listening to it all even if it’s not your style!
@Cruiser – Thank you – I’m glad it shows!
Wow – over 375 song plays so far! I’m really blown away!
