Can one use safely an old copper frying pan with tin worn off in some parts of the surface?

Asked by skfinkel (13542points) May 4th, 2010

I have a wonderful large frying pan, but the copper is shining through on the edges and some of the surface. Can I keep using this? Is there any danger from the exposed copper?

The copper shouldn’t be a problem, just don’t cook anything too acetic in it (tomatoes, etc.)
