How to get the smell of prawns off my hands?

Asked by Theby (998points) May 6th, 2010

I just peeled some raw prawns for dinner. Although I have washed my hands three times I cannot get rid of the smell. Any solutions?

Lemon juice!!!!

Squeeze fresh lemon juice on your hands…...works every time. :)

I agree with @j0ey that lemon juice will do the trick. Mix the lemon juice with washing up liquid, leave on your hands a couple of minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Ummm, what are prawns? Are they like onions or something?

I kinda live in a hole.

Stainless Steel Soap

It really works in our house (with onions and garlic too).

Stainless steel soap is the way to go. Can buy it cheap here (free shipping)

Actually you dont have to buy stainless steal soap, just wash a stainless steel spoon with soap. It should take the smell out. You really dont have to buy special soap.

Yes lemon juice helps and add salt to it with face cloth. Also tomato juice is good then use some dove soap it should be better.
