Easiest (cheapest) way to get to Greenwich from 46th (around Broadway)

Asked by Jude (32204points) May 7th, 2010

So, for my birthday, I told the my girlfriend that I wanted to go to John’s Pizza in Greenwich Village. She’s a writer and the White Horse Tavern would be a cool place to have a drink or two.

Easiest, cheapest way to get there. If it’s the subway, which one do we take?

Thanks!

Here you go. Greenwich village covers a lot of ground so find out exactly where the two restaurants are.

Here’s a plug-in for subway directions to the White Horse Tavern. (Customer reviews are not good.) http://www.hopstop.com/route?zip2=10014&address2=567+Hudson+St.&mode=s

Take the A/C train from Times Square on 44th and B’way to West 4th Street. When you get out the train itself, turn left and head for that exit, you’ll get out on 6th Avenue (there should be a basketball court to your left as you exit the station). Walk down 6th Ave against traffic until you hit Bleecker Street, make a right and John’s is on the left side of the street.

Appreciate the help!

This birthday will mean a lot, being able to go to both of those places.
