Today is Mother’s Day here in the USA. Are there any moms out there whose family is far afield or just so involved in other things (perish the thought) that you didn’t get a proper “Thanks, Mom!” in celebration of this day? Well, for any and all, let me say Thanks! and Happy Mother’s Day! It’s a great deal of sacrifice to bring a child up in today’s world. You are an unsung hero for doing it.
We all had moms. Mine is gone, so I can no longer thank her. So let me share my thanks and recognition of your worth with all you who didn’t get recognized today. I am sure there are others here on Fluther who will join me in saying, “Happy Mother’s Day.”

I wanted to go visit my birth mom’s grave, but I couldn’t get a ride. Oh well; Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy! I’m sure you can hear me anyways!
The moose on Nick Jr. said “happy mother’s day” to me a few times today…
My son wished me a Happy Mother’s Day this morning, then later one when I asked him to help me with something he said “Is it still Mother’s Day” then I said yes and he said “Ugh”. I got quite the laugh out of it actually (he is only 8).
My kids each wished me a Happy Mother’s Day as soon as they got up. My hubby rolled over in bed when I got up and wished me a Happy Mother’s Day. My daughter started to make me pancakes and then asked for my help because she didn’t want them to suck. After breakfast the kids presented me with a lovely necklace. And finally, we just finished a wonderful dinner that my hubby made.
I’m very lucky to have a great family.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers on this list. The work you do is precious and invaluable even if it is not acknowledged.
My oldest son is still among the non-responsive – but that is just par for the course.
@YARNLADY Didn’t hear from our eldest either. He’s out in California. So a belated Mother’s Day wishes to you.
