What is your definition of flirting?
The flirting at work question got me thinking. I tend to think of flirting as everything from casually letting someone know you find them attractive all the way to letting someone know you’re very interested in a roll in the hay. Maybe my definition is too broad. What’s flirting to you?

Mine’s a lot like yours as well. To me, it’s anything that’s meant to suggest you are, or could be, interested in more than just a platonic friendship.
Flirting, to me, is less about what is said and more about how it is said. You can flirt without saying anything.
Smiling a lot and sort of rocking while you talk. lol It isn’t WHAT YOU’RE SAYING (gross), it’s how you’re MOVING. LOL !!
I’m terrible.
You pretty much have it. I tend to flirt a lot! I break flirting into two categories: Friendly Flirting and then Actual Flirting.
Friendly Flirting – I’ll flirt with people, but most of it is just being playful. I tend to make dirty jokes, laugh and giggle, smile, or even lightly make physical contact. I tend to keep things lively and fun. Not to be taken serious!
Actual Flirting- Actual flirting can be a mixture of friendly flirting and I don’t know. I tend to get nervous and act pretty serious though. :)
That is all! :D
My take is the same as yours. Flirting between co workers and friends is usually more for flattery, compliment or embarassing them a little in good fun rather than a prelude to dating or trysting.
I find I can flirt with women I admire and find attractive even though I clearly intend no sexual relationship. It’s a playful, yet innocent way to flatter her without creating discomfort or misleading someone about your intentions or lack thereof.
Flirting means “hey I’m single, lets have sex”.
