I'm writing my first architectural analysis, any advice/tips?

Asked by SamIAm (8703points) May 11th, 2010

Yes, this KIND of a homework question, but it’s more for my own personal enhancement & development…

I have to write a post modern architectural analysis of a building in the Bay Area & I chose that Cathedral in Oakland (Cathedral of Christ the Light). I got a ton of paper handouts from the church and have a good amount of info on the “post modern” ideas… but am looking for anything that would be important to include in this type of paper. Any specific key words, phrases, things to avoid?

I’m afraid I can’t help you much, @Samantha_Rae, but I do have a comment. Since this is a school assignment, it seems to me that your instructor is the right one to guide you on what should be included and what to avoid. Anything you get from outside, no matter how good, runs the risk of being way off the mark for your instructor’s specific requirements.

Perhaps you should just have more confidence in yourself and in the information you’ve already gathered.
