I hate to say it, but can anyone help me interpret these song lyrics?

I am usually pretty beast at interpreting these things, but I am really struggling with this one :\
I bought this album a few days ago (totally worth the money), and I really like this song, I just have no idea what it means! All I can really make out is that they apparently show something on both screens…
I dont want this to just be a simple poll, so it would be nice if you also gave your opinions on the meaning of the song, etc blahblahblah :P
I hate to link to a crappy, ad-riddled lyrics site, but the mods would get mad if I posted a gazillion lines of lyrics on fluther
It is called “Twin Cinema”, by “The New Pornographers”. I love that name by the way ^_^

OK, haven’t had a chance to really delve into this, but the repeated reference to 16th and Valencia is the Roxie in San Francisco’s little mission district where they show films you probably can’t see anyplace else.
It sounds like it is the two perspectives of any two people in a relationship. What happens in the relationship will always have two views (shown on two screens). It starts by talking about the home theatre and I hear it as what one author described as the “drama of the relationship.” In other words, that topic about which two people in a relationship argue to the point that either person could argue the other person’s point of view. It is also the place where so many relationships get stuck (e.g., it is easier to talk about this thing with which we are each so familiar over and over again than it is to dig deeper and talk about what is really going on under the often repeated complaints).
The song writers are using the context of a cinematic feature to describe each perspective in the relationship (played on two screens) but also describes the worn seats and other characteristics that people will recognize if they have been in a long term relationship.
That’s my quick take on it . . .
Thanks, @Kayak8, I never would have guessed that! I had an idea it had something to do with relationships, but I just couldn’t figure this one out :P
@loser On so many levels I fear you are probably correct! LOL

or drugs, or love, sex, or artistic expression, or a specific event in the writer’s life, who can know?
They are a good band. Kind of a Modest Mouse / Velvet Underground mix. Don’t go crazy trying to figure out what a particular song lyric means. Many times it only makes sense to the writer. There’s obvious duality though and the reference to 16th and Valencia could be The Roxie. There is a lot going on at that corner.
