What's the average earnings for a deployment?
My boyfriend wants to know so I’m asking on here. I know it depends on what rank and how long you’ve been gone. He’s PFC in Army Reserve, anyone let me know in general how much? Give me an estimate?

It’s really hard to say, it depends on where they are sent to and if they have any dependents. Right now, my husband gets his normal pay (but he’s active duty, your boyfriend would get the active base pay for his rank), combat pay (for being in a combat zone), family separation pay (for being away from his dependents), BAH (his housing allowance), and BAS (food allowance). While deployed, they do not pay any state or federal taxes. They still pay for their health insurance and FICA.
This link has the pay tables. I’ll look to get a ballpark figure, but he could easily find this out by talking to someone at his unit.
So here’s what I found on that table. Active base pay for an E-3 with less that 2 years is $1705.80. I don’t believe he would get BAH, but if he did, it would be around $487.80. If he would get BAS, it would be $323.87. Hazardous duty pay is $150.00. Imminent danger pay is $225.00. There is also another pay dependent on the location he actually goes. My husband is getting $100 for that right now with where he is.
So that’s $2992.47 per month possibly before deductions (couldn’t edit my previous answer again).
You get BAH to maintain housing if he lives away from his parents. He wouldn’t get food allowance.
BAH depends on the area you live, here in Columbus it’s like 700 or so in addition to you base pay.
And it’s all tax free.
BAS he won’t get unless he has dependents here stateside.
