I’m not into it but find it interesting. If you do fast, tell us why, how, for what length of time and your results.

No I don’t. Not on purpose anyway. If I am upset, I don’t eat.
I used to, in my religious days.
I know I still should do at least my weekly fast, just because it feels good to have one day to sort of “reboot” your digestive system, but it’s actually harder when you don’t have a “God wants me to do this uncomfortable thing” reason. I used to do every week, from sundown on Tuesday to sundown on Wednesday. I’d drink a glass of chocolate milk at the beginning and end. During the time I was really into fasting, I was probably the thinnest I’ve ever been as an adult.
Once I did a 14 day fast. Clear liquids only, no sugar. I was hallucinating by the end of it. That I don’t recommend.
Only when the doctor asks nicely for purposes of general blood tests. In those cases it’s a water only diet for, I’m going to say, 12 hours prior to the test. It’s, well… a piece of cake! Never done it otherwise aside from, occasionally missing a couple or five meals in a row, and have never suffered any ill effects.
