Is there ANY kind of dog shampoo made that has a longer lasting scent than 1 or 2 days?

My dog is stanky… and I bathe her often.

they make dog perfume in all different smells and you can spritz them every day! But that’s about it.

If your dog has an unusual amount of odor, she probably has a medical condition. If she has thickened skin, excess oil production, or a bacterial infection she may smell bad – I’d recommend a trip to the vet with a discussion of prescription shampoos.

I know this is often a problem with older and sick dogs. You might want to consult your vet about it. There’s not really any shampoos that I know of that last more than a couple days anyway. When you bathe your dog, do you also wash the bedding and stuff? Does your dog lick its fur a lot? This can add to the smell problem as well.

She’s a 2 year old miniature Yorkie. She has a doggy door to our backyard which she chooses to stay outside and play for about 20 percent of the day. She doesn’t really lick herself too often. She is groomed/trimmed professionally about once a month and bathed by me every couple of weeks.

I love Yorkies!!! I wonder if maybe she’s rolling around in stuff?

The smell that may be offensive to your nose may be one that your pup loves—and remember the opposite may also be true. Doggie perfume may be something that your pup finds bothers her sense of smell or allergies. I think the best bet is to find a happy medium that is not offensive to anyone.

Also, are you brushing her regularly? I find that when I keep my Jack Russell’s on a regular, daily or every other day, brushing schedule his coat seems shinier and less funky.
