How does the gameplay differ between the single-player version and the various online multiplayer versions of GTA:SA?
It seems that there are a few online multiplayer mods and patches for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. What are the differences between the different online versions? And how does multiplayer gameplay differ from the single-player game? Are all the elements from the single-player game implemented in the multi-player versions?

Is this your obsession? XD
Nah. My previous question about multiplayer GTA got censored moderated because I didn’t include enough details to encourage a discussion, never mind that there was already a good discussion going on when it got censored moderated. So I asked, essentially, the same question again with more details. I hope the people who answered the previous question will post the exact same answers again so that we can continue the discussion where we left off…
But no one else is replying….:(
Bummer!
Anyway, I found this on Google, and was about to post the link on the other question, but the control freaks drunk on their petty power yanked the Q before I could…
They modded some of my comments when they were on topic!
I wish there was a good Q&A site that repsected people’s desire to chat about whatever they want to chat about, and didn’t feel it was their duty to protect us from each other, or from anything that might offend anyone. Answerbag used to be good and had minimal moderation (spam and personal attacks got zapped, but normal conversation stayed), but it’s near impossible to follow a conversation now. Right now, SodaHead is the only one that doesn’t censor people’s comments, but it’s so full of right-wingers and neocons.
That’s why none of my questions are going in General.
It doesn’t make any difference. I put that other Q in social, and it still got yanked for picky petty reasons.
<<sigh>> So, I read your profile. Do you write any yaoi?
No, sorry. I’m hetero. Yaoi just doesn’t turn me on. I’ve written one or two stories that contain FF scenes, but my stories mostly are overall M/F or M/FF (dominant male/submissive female), or ocasionally F/M (dominant female/submissive male).
Do you read or write Yuri?
I read yuri, but I don’t write it. I have about 3 female characters, & over 16 male characters. My girlfriend Ellie has 1 female, & 11 males. My other girlfriend Rachel has one guy.
Wow! That’s a lot of characters to keep track of! So I’m guessing you do the manga artwork and your girlfriends write the dialog? Is that it? My stories are strictly text, no artwork, except for a few things that I’ve photoshopped or that people have sent me to use on my site or to illustrate specific stories.
No, no artwork. That would be awesome, though! Actually Ellie & Rachel are the better artists. But Rachel is a laze-ass, & Ellie has worse self-esteem than an emo. Currently, they’re all in RP form, but I’m going to merge them together with more of a plot this summer. And I’ll have to cut out some of the sex scenes, unfortunately!
It would be awesome if the three of you could do artwork, and submit them for publication! Heavy Metal is always looking for new graphic novel artists! They welcome sexually explicit images. They aren’t so much into manga, though they seem to welcome all different styles.
Yeah, Ellie doesn’t think her drawings are “good enough”. She drew this.
That’s really good! And HM does sometimes run graphic novels that use b&w drawings.
Yeah, I have no clue what that beast is, though. I know it’s the demon form of her charrie Mear; her only girl. I made avatars of most of our characters. They’re a bit off, since I used this website. Not much hair & skin variety, but everything else works.
There are plenty of sites to post artwork. I’m sure you know about DeviantArt. A lesser known site is Renderotica which is for erotic artwork, though they specialize in 3D rendering.
Maybe she just doesn’t want to share her demon with people, and saying it’s not “good enough” is her defense mechanism. But demons and other scary creatures are a staple in Renderotica and Heavy Metal. Perhaps she’d be willing to draw something that’s not so personal to share with the world.
Oh, no. It’s not personal or anything. She just has horrible self-esteem. Like I said, worse than a stereotypical emo!
Then it might backfire if you talk her into posting it, and someone disses her. You know how people are on the internet, unfortunately.
Sam was cute 500 years ago. He seems to have turned into a punk/rebel. Whereas Nigel seems to have become posh in modern times. Am I close?
@HungryGuy Sam is still to sweet to be a rebel, but kinda. He listens to Aiden & Hawthorne Heights, though. Nigel just likes dressing fancy. He’s usually shirtless at home, though. But he’s nice; he took Sam in even after he tried to rob him.
@Draconess25 – So when are you going to write their story for all to read?
I’ll probably be starting next week. I need to get some more info from Ellie, though. Their birthdays & such.
Great! You should definitely check out Heavy Metal and get their guidelines for page layout and formatting before you start drawing, and submit your stuff there first. Of course, any time you submit something for commercial publication, be prepared for rejection, and that may be something to think about if it will hurt Ellie’s self esteem.
She has no self-esteem to hurt….
Awwww. Maybe selling your collective work to a graphic magazine like HM might be the boost to her self esteem that she needs…
I hope so, too :-) And if you can make your drawings in color, that would improve your chances!
Oh, & here’s more characters:
Allen (His hair is actually quite different; more emo-like, & platinum blonde instead of white. This was the closest I could get.) Roland. Andrew. Michael. Dean (The scar is supposed to be across his other eye, & that eye is supposed to be pale blue.) Nikkei. Zale (& his wolf form.) Thomas (His wolf form isn’t as fluffy as Zale’s, & he has red paws, & red tips on his ears & tail.) Killian. Richard. Blake. Balthazaar (His skin is more of a greenish-grey, though.) Obviously, they’re not all this chibi!
Cool! Have you explored each of their personalities? Of course, to create a graphic novel, you’ll have to draw them all by hand, rather than use an avatar generator? But you have a lot of people to populate your world with! That’s half the battle!
We’ve even got lists of their favourite bands! Of course we’ve got their personalities down.
Nigel: Very calm unless he’s protecting Sam. An alcoholic (prefers red wine).
Sam: Very sweet. Scared of almost everything. Comfort-nurses on Nigel’s neck.
Roland: A “mad scientist” (mixes random chemicals in a bucket). Very clumsy.
Allen: Also very clumsy. Very effeminate. Likes bright colours & tight clothes.
Andrew: Super-aggressive. An alcoholic. Also very perverted.
Michael: A pyromaniac bordering on pyrophiliac. A neat-freak.
Dean: Acts very calm to hide his insecurities. Gambles.
Nikkei: Very skittish & jumpy. Rather intelligent. Terrified of guns.
Zale: Completely psycho. A necrophiliac. Immature.
Thomas: Chronic music-lover. Hates humanity. Loves animals.
Killian: Extrememly hyper & eccentric. Kind & loving.
Richard: Difficulty forming full sentences. Animalistic & doesn’t understand technology.
Blake: Naive & funloving. Hates humas, but would never hurt an animal.
Balthazaar: Driven insane by a cursed necklace. Otherwise is rather nice.
I can give you more in-depth descriptions, if you’d like.
That’s excellent! Especially if you’ll be using them as characters in a story. One of the most difficult part of writing stories is creating unique personalities for each character, and then making sure that each character’s behavior and dialog throughut the work matches his/her personality. Having a detailed description/bio of each character is a lot of work, but pays off tremendously! I’d actually advise against posting too much in a public forum, though. Google up about First Serial Rights, which is what publishers actually purchase when they publish your work. If you post too much detail “for free,” you’ll lose your First Rights and won’t be able to sell your graphic novel to a publisher (if that’s what you intend to do).
Meh, we don’t really plan on making any money off of it. It’s just fun, & it’ll give me something else to do with my summer other than blowing shit up.
Blowing shit up is great fun! You do have the rocket launcher, right?
(If not, I can tell you how to get it without using any cheat codes)
No, I mean in real life! My cousin has napalm & shit!
Really? Now that’s uber fredashay!!!
Rachel stole some smoke bombs yesterday, & we threw them in people’s mailboxes. It was fun!
w00t! I want some smoke bombs, too! Can you get your own napalm?
My cousin Ben does. I dunno where he gets it, but it probably isn’t legal. It’s easy to make, but I haven’t tried it.
Yeah, don’t try it! People kill themselves all the time trying to make bombs and shit in their kitchens…
Oh, I wouldn’t try it in my kitchen! My mom would kill me!
