What kind of glue is it? Welome to Fluther!

Depends upon what sort of glue it is and what sort of material is being glued. Most glues will come off with turpentine, but it has a tendency to stain. Superglue and glues like it usually take nail polish remover to remove.

If it’s your hand, then just use turpentine. But make sure you wash with hot water and soap after you use it.

For most glues I know of, white spirit usually does the job. Just make sure you don’t smell it or drink it.

I use Zippo Lighter fluid. It works great..

Depends on the type of glue. Acetone works well for alot of things (although sadly not histoacryl which is a shame as I spilt some this afternoon and can’t shift it).

Nail polish remover works well in removing super glue types of glue.

Charcoal lighter fluid will usually do it. Otherwise, use Goo Off (I think that’s the name of the stuff; you can buy it at Home Depot).

Actually that’s close, but
Goo Gone is the name.

But you really need to read the label to see what type of glue you’re dealing with.

If it’s Elmers or another type of white glue, just wash your hands.

If it’s rubber cement, just let it dry and peel it off or rub your fingers together.

For other types of glue it depends on the chemical base. There is not one universal solvent which works for everything. Read the label and let us know.

Even with something like crazy glue, just allowing it to dry and peeling it off is usually the best thing rather than harsh chemicals on your skin.

You’d be amazed at how much a little patience and drying time can help.
