Any RAOK (random acts of kindness) spotted in your area lately?

Asked by Zen_Again (9936points) May 17th, 2010

I personally haven’t seen any lately, and I haven’t performed any myself. Note to self: do something nice today for no reason.

I guess not.

I ran to open a door for a woman struggling to get out of it with her walker.
That was yesterday though. I cooked my mom dinner today. Does that count? (I don’t cook well and hardly ever cook).

I got to a door first and tried to hold it open for two gentlemen the other day. They wanted me to go first,I didn’t, so they finally went in and then insisted that I get in line in front of them.So I did, rather than beat the hell out of them like I wanted to do at that point!;)))

I flashed a father who was struggling with two kids at the zoo on Sunday. His wife seemed to be an uptight, controlling sort. “J! Don’t do that!” “Tell Jr. to get Doowwwwwwwwnnnn off of there!” “Run and get me a hot dog”. We saw them all over the park and she was a shrew every time. So, when we were down looking at the seals underwater I accidentally bent over and let him see my boobs.

People all over this town are growing extraordinarily beautiful flowers both inside and outside their yards. Thank you Jesus.

I had lunch with my mother and three other very old ladies at the rehab center on Sunday. Their tea was tepid so I simply walked into the kitchen and microwaved the four cups. You’d have thought it was the second coming. I also brought a chocolate chip cookie big enough to break into four pieces. It takes very little effort.

Yes, the river/creek clean-ups have been packed with people picking up trash and doing plant restoration work. There were so many volunteers for the Amgen Bike Tour, applications were closed.

Neighbors ran into a burning house to carry out the handicapped man they knew lived there, and saved him.

When a request went out for volunteer Docents to lead ‘underground’ tours downtown, several hundred people had to be turned away.

I could write a hundred more, but I think people would get bored.
