What does cottage cheese taste like?

I have always been repulsed by the smell and taste (and now sight) of plain yogurt. I hear cottage cheese is pretty good for you, but it looks like just chunky plain yogurt. Therefore, despite being a grown man, I haven’t the chutzpah to taste it. Can someone describe what it tastes like so I can determine whether to try it, or shun it for life?
