What is good party music for teenagers?
Im thinking Lil Wayne, Timbaland, 3OH!3, B.o.B, Eminem, Ke$ha, Drake, Lady Gaga etc. What are some good, new songs that are popular and upbeat enough for a party of teenagers?

Well these girls have spoken for Imma B
Off the top of my head: Cobra Starship, LCD Soundsystem (not popular, but awesome,) Owl City, and Miley Cyrus (the newer ones, not any Hannah Montana audio death.) Please ignore my parenthetical sentence structure today.
Hip-Hop? We will have none of that. You need some techno, rave music! (Daft Punk, DJ Baby Anne, Justice, The Chemical Brothers, New Order, Fatboy Slim, Cybotron)
Nothing mainstream.
I was just coming in here to say Daft Punk! Daft Punk goes with any dancing!
@SeventhSense Yeah, that’s a pretty good song. I’m pretty sure the girl on the left’s nose was bleeding…..........
Your Love is My Drug by Ke$ha. Hell yeah. That song played at every frat party I’ve been to recently.
You have a good list of artists there. Any of the most recent popular songs by those artists would be a good thing to play at parties. They don’t all have to be dance music specifically.
@DominicX Yeah! I love that song by Ke$ha. That’s basically what I’ve been doing is getting new songs form all the artists I like, but it seems like theres always those really popular songs that I never hear until they’re “old”. I just don’t want shitty music.
@desiree333
Eh, I still hear songs from a few years ago at parties (sometimes even older). Yes, usually, they stick to the most recent ones, but still, it doesn’t have to be all music from last week.
Miley Cyrus’ newest single “Can’t Be Tamed” is good. “Break Your Heart” by Taio Cruz is still hot right now. :P
But my Favorite Black Eyed peas ever was this one
So wrong but so right.
@jonsblond
It’s just like oh my god what? Is she for real? But she owns it so it works…
Depends what the teenagers coming to the party like. Personally, I’d ditch the hip-hop and techno and go for Lordi.
MGMT, Phoenix, Cage the Elephant
Just play Girltalk Feed the Animals start to finish. You’ll cover all your bases while also making it seem like you have a dj :P
Usher – OMG
M.I.A. – XXXO
David Guetta (Kid Cudi) – Memories
Sean Kingston – Eenie Meenie
Passion Pit – Sleepyhead
Some recent faves of mine.
Yeah, mix it up a little. Top 40 dance is all well and good, but since you’ve got a captive audience, bust out some stuff they won’t hear on Q- or Z- or X-100!
its really super simple. Just put the word you want to be linky like in quotes followed by a colon then the link. So, ” link ”: http://wwww.website.com without the spaces.
also, cool song.
I’m not the music type but my sister is hooked on “In My Head” by Jason Derulo and “Replay” by Sean Kingston.
Some new(ish) songs are:
- Tik Tok – Ke$ha
– Your Love is my Drug – Ke$ha
– In my head – Jason Derulo
– Whatcha Say – Jason Derulo
– Replay – Iyaz
– Break Your Heart – Taio Cruz ft Ludacris
– Basically anything by Lady Gaga or Pitbull
Just go to Youtube. They usually have the most popular songs on the front page. Good luck :)
you can never go past LMFAO and the Black Eyed Peas. Great dance music
