Are the drug testing kits available in stores as accurate as the ones used by professionals?

No.

I don’t have any evidence, but I would think no. I believe the professional method is to send your urine to a lab to be tested. I don’t think OTC drug tests are nearly as in-depth.

Yes, simply because most professions now use these tests. I was drug tested and they just used the dip strips, just like the ones you can buy.

Now if they do send it in to a lab, there is a chance they will use a more sensitive test.

drink water…..get a screen. there are kits available to help you pass. Vails. Vail might even be the brand name. If you are in a city, I’m sure there is someplace to get the vail before your test. I passed 1 test. with vale. and got the job that saved my behind. have flunked others.

Go the next step to cleanse, not get a home testing kit. Use your funds better.

@jazmina88 I already have cleansing supplies for unrelated purposes. I’d just like to know my approximate levels before I take the actual test.

If you are going to take a cleansing solution bear in mind that it is possible to detect some of those as well.

@jazmina88 I actually smoke weed medicinally. I didn’t smoke all of yesterday. The pain was pretty bad, and it caused tension and stress between me and my boyfriend. I’ve decided that I can’t do that every day, so I think I’m going to just cancel the interview. It’s really sad that I (and a lot of other people) had to make the choice between having a job and not having the only relief available to me (and them). Hopefully I can become employed somewhere else.

Most of the self-test kits (at least the ones i’m aware of) will give you either a positive or negative result. The negative result means you are “clean”. The positive result doesn’t mean you are “hot” but they recommend that you take a more advanced test (which you can’t buy in a store) to determine whether or not there are drugs in your system. If you tested “negative” on the self test and the employer is giving you an urine test i’m not making a guarantee but you will probally pass the test. Hair and saliva tests are another ballgame. Many employers do random testing as well so even if you initially pass the first one you are really taking a gamble by continuing to smoke weed, i’ve had many guys I worked with lose their jobs because of this despite being very quality employees, it sucks but its the way it is today.

i tell you what Facade, im a Pot smoker and im still getting tested every month at my job. *well not every month but randomly(which its even Wost) but here are the two things i do that can get pass you situation

1) ....contact your Drug-free friends have them piss in a condom or better yet, find the smallest containers u would find, Wat i prefer is the baby bottle pop candy container there are spill free, just dont eat the candy but pour the powder out and store the piss in it.

and the condom is your last resource. ^_^

2) there are those detox drinks from GNC work really good. I’ve used them as well as a few of my friends its usually best to drink it like 8 hours before the test and then drink like a gallon of water and then go to the bathroom a few times and then continually drink up until the test. theres directions on the side too. They are expensive though like 40 bucks for a bottle and taste horrible but they do work. You can even get a home piss test from the pharmacy to give yourself an idea if you’re gonna pass or not. It worked for me and a few friends.
