Will you suggest to me a good brand for a skin care regimen?
I’ve used Aveeno forever and like it enough, but now I’d like to move up to something a little better and I’m not sure which direction to go. I got a sample of the Clinique 3 step regimen and have used it for a couple of days. I like it well enough. I’ve looked into the Philosphy Makeup Optional set, but I don’t know if it’s good or just trendy. I’d like to go with organic/natural and have looked into the Ole Henrikson Three Little Miracles set.
Any suggestions for me?

It really depends what skin type you have.
All of those have too many chemicals for me. I use Sappo Hill soap because the ingredients are few and there is no packaging, then simply follow up with witch hazel as an astringent. Works for me.
I use Elemis products and find they’re pretty good (I’m a male with dry and very sensitive skin).
Lacura, available at aldi. Award winning and dirt cheap.
I started making my own skin care cream. After looking at all the ingredients in commercial products, it was hard to discern what my skin needed from one list to the other. So I decided to use really all natural ingredients. I usually start with 100% pure shea butter, olive oil, vitamin E oil, coconut oil, and also oil of oreganol. I don’t use any specific measurements, just mix until I like the consistency. Then for fragrance, I add whatever essential oil I have on hand. Now after washing my face with an all natural oatmeal and almond soap I sometime deep clean with witch hazel or whatever astringent is nearby. I use my concoction daily and before bed, and seriously my skin is much more subtle and moisterized without having bought all those high price products.
I started using the Liiv line by Avon, of all places. I honestly got compliments the first day and I have only seen improvement. The serum doesn’t smell great to me, but the scent doesn’t hang around and the benefits are worth continuing to use it.
OH! And if you don’t mind spending the money – Mario Badescu. I love those products, but cannot afford them.
