Is it safe for travelers to go to Jamaica?

Jamaica is now in a turmoil. over the weekend, drug criminals converged on Jamaica with high-powered weapons, to defend their drug leader, Christoper Coke. Coke is wanted in the U.S. for cocaine trafficking and selling illegal weapons. the drug criminals are defending Coke’s extradition to the U.S. on the outstanding warrants by attacking Jamaican police officers. Question: is it safe now or will it ever be safe again, for travelers to visit Jamaica? would you take the chance?
