Money is universally respected because everyone wants it. Character can be learned so its not on the same level.

Because that man made the money, and he also gets the Honeys

I think money garners a different level of respect because it is equated with freedom and the power of “choice”. A rich man is more able to live the precisely the kind of life he desires, on his own terms, and by his own design.
In the right hands, that’s a very powerful, enviable thing, and a man who has that power (and does the right thing with it) certainly has my respect.

It depends on scale. And I disagree with GD Kimble about freedom. For the very rich they have it. I know a few people that make 200K+ and they are chained to work. I’m poor but I like it that way. I get to spend time at the library or at the park playing soccer or having a BBQ with friends. And that trumps having a 7 to 10 and making bank.

Does money make the man? It depends on who you ask. And honestly, I would rather avoid people that says that it does.

Clothes makes the man. I notice a difference in they way women act towards a man in a suit. Just giving the impression of money is enough. At the end of the day the guy with all the money is too busy at work to give her what she wants.

Money is a material item and while we try hard to get rid of material things, we just can’t. Truth is we are living in a material world. If Madonna actually sung a true song, it was her “Material Girl”. Money is a rich man’s curse, I wish God would smite me with it and may I never recover! Just kidding, it sounded cool. Did it not?
