I am using Connectify to rebroadcast wifi. Is there some way that I can set up a proxy so that when someone joins the network it shows a webpage with some info on it, or a way I can make it pop up in the middle of browsing? Sort of the way they do it in big airports to advertise the fact that you have to pay.

Okay, I KNOW my SO can help you so I’m going to post from him through me.. if that makes any sense. I see so many technical orphaned questions, all of which I know he is capable of answering!
here is his response:
“that’s easy, DNS token redirects, basically it’ll resolve everything to one ip where your site is locally, once the token (password whatever) is entered it adds the MAC to a list that clears on a set interval say 24hours, then it allows use of real DNS which gives them outside access.”
Now, I don’t understand his gibberish nerd-talk (yet I loooove it!) but I’ll act as middle man to help you solve this ;)
I was just wondering if there is a simple program that could do this automatically.
SO: “I don’t know of one but I’m sure there is, let me see if I can find one real quick.. Looks like there is tons, tell them to Google wifi hotspot software”
Let me know how it goes and I will pick his brain more for you if need be :)
Well I have software, I am looking for a program that will work with it to make a proxy. Not made for with it, but one that will inturrupt all internet connections on my PC when I want it to.
