If you're renting your house, do you have to be a licensed landlord?

This is for a single family home in Indiana.

There’s no requirements or tests or anything like that, but it would behoove you to have a copy of these statutes so that you’re aware of your rights and responsibilities as a landlord.

No, not in any state that I know of.

In addition to the IN state statutes, it’s in your best interest to check with your local municipal statutues required of landlords. At the very least you may need to apply for and provide a Renter’s Certificate of Occupancy of some sort.
