Will the two spaces following a period that have been used in copy (paper) standards be replaced by the web standard of one space?

It’s all one space now. Two spaces was for typewriting (on a typewriter).

In fact, the newer versions of Microsoft Word automatically changes it to one space after a period.

I didn’t know that. My newest version of WordPerfect will still give me two spaces.

Oh, I remember the days of my secretarial service! Two spaces was a MUST for competent typists! I still do that on my computer, but I never noticed if my computer changes it!
