Do You Have or Have You Seen a Storm Cellar?
They had one in The Wizard of Oz. Do you have one and have you used it? Or have you just seen or been inside one? Negative for me. But we had neighbors whose son was lighting matches in one when he was in 3rd grade.

Yes, it is under my shed behind my house. I have not used it, other than to store things, but i have one.
My grandparents’ house had one in the back of their house.
In the book, Dorothy, Auntie Em and Uncle Henry live in farmhouse that’s more like a one-room shack, and to escape tornadoes, there was a hole in the ground in the middle of the room whit a door on top. It all sounds dreadful, but, of course, it was changed up for the 1939 movie.
We don’t have one, but lots and lots of the houses around here do. Mostly they’re older farm houses, before someone figured out how to put basements in the house!
A family house has one that’s accessed from outside the rear of the house. It’s mainly been used for several generations of curing meats, storing distilling hooch, canned goods and unrefrigerated vegetables.
Yes, my old house has one, it’s under part of the house. It had a dirt floor and stone walls.
We made the floor cement but the rest is basically unchanged.
Nice place to visit in a tornado, but wouldn’t want to live there.
Yes, I’ve been in them, but I don’t have one.
try Oklahoma…..they actually use them.
I use mine when there is a tornado warning.
