Picasa Question---How do you get rid of Picasa photos that were taken off your hard drive?

Asked by DarlingRhadamanthus (11273points) June 2nd, 2010

I don’t know how this happened…I was attempting to take photos off my digital camera to view them as I usually do using Adobe Photoshop. The next thing I knew, Picasa popped up and had taken ALL my photos off my hard drive…copied ALL the folders, etc. I didn’t authorize this. I don’t want my personal family photos, artwork, etc on Picasa and for web viewing. It also doesn’t give me an option to make them private. This is not Picasa Web Albums——this is some other Picasa thing (not sure as I don’t use it.)

Any idea what to do to get them off Picasa?

Thanks in advance.

If it’s not Picasa Web Albums, then I think it’s just the Picasa desktop application. Meaning they are still on your machine and not public.

If this is the case, when you right-click (Windows) or control-click(Mac) on a photo in Picasa, there will be a pop-up menu. If “Upload to Picasa Web albums” is a choice, the photo is not on the web. If “Online Actions” is a choice, the photo is on the web.
