Since nobody’s answered this for 2 days—and since this kind of question is usually pounced on at Fluther—I would conclude that even people who live in the Bay area might not have an opinion on this topic. Maybe your question appears so easily disposed of by quick internet search—low-hanging fruit, as it were.
Perusing top results at Google for rug cleaning non-toxic San Francisco finds Bay Area Carpet Cleaning, which offers “Non Toxic Cleaning, Green Cleaning” at its website.
Is it a good company? How should I know—I don’t live there!
Is “non-toxic” a claim made by most carpet cleaners anyway, or is it specific and uncommon? You’d have to search multiple websites or learn something about commercial carpet-cleaning methods. Also, the term non-toxic is imprecise—are there particular substances or harmful effects you want to exclude, or does “green” do it for you? Which companies have high ratings by SF Better Business Bureau? Google again: same page, different link.
Good luck searching ! Since your question is geographically specific, maybe a few phone calls need to be made. By you, that is, not me :)
