How do I get feedback on my new product idea?

Is there an easy way to find out if people like the idea and will buy it without having to go through the whole process of bringing it to market?

You could always give it to friends and family, but you might not get an honest opinion. Or you could check with local laws and put up a kiosk/booth somewhere popular to demonstrate or give information about your product. Like a lemonade stand, but with your product lol.
