How to make a right navigation on TUMBLR?

My tumblr is completely vertical and I would love to add a right or left navigation table so I can put links or tags…if someone could give me the code and tell me where to put it exactly, it would be of great help. :)

The codes will vary, every theme it’s html code is not the same. So it’s hard to give you a code to put it in. First I have to know what’s the name of the theme you’re using. Second, well you’ll have to wait and see if I can figure it out hah.
