Who is the greatest post-apocalyptic wasteland warrior of all time?
Is it Mad Max, the shotgun-toting ex-cop responsible for all post-apocalyptic environments since then resembling outback Australia? Is it Snake Plisskin, escapee from New York and Los Angeles and all-around bad-ass? John Connor, who will one day lead humanity to freedom from the genocidal Terminators? Could it be “Hell” Tanner, last of the Hell’s Angels, and the man who smashed through Damnation Alley? What about Judge Dredd, cutting a bullet-riddled swath through mutants and perps alike? Perhaps it’s J.C. Denton, nano-augmented assassin from the Deus Ex games, or Strelok, the ruthless Russian scavenger from STALKER who, alone, survives the perils of the Zone to penetrate Chernobyl—twice. And then, of course, there are the Chosen One and the two Vault Dwellers from the Fallout series, on whose lives the entire fate of humanity hinges. Which cigar-chomping, gun-blasting, squint-eyed hard case comes out on top when the radioactive dust settles and only a single wasteland warrior can stand victorious atop the heap of mangled bodies?

I think the cockroaches are going to outlive all of them. But Mad Max gets my vote, since Snakes obscene ILS loses him serious points.
I have to give full points to Mad Max also. Style and the authentic desperate grasping over the final bits of technology. Charleton Heston’s “Omega Man” character ranks high on my list also.
Don Johnson in a “Boy and His Dog” may not be the “greatest” hero but a savy and cool one none the less, actually Blood his dog is the coolest survivor ever!!! My favorite post-apocalyptic movie!! *****‘s

Enola Gay? Alternatively Max is Mr. Fallout, although vulnerable to prolonged bouts of accident prone clumsiness.
Mad Max is a total bad-ass for sure but Snake Plissken has a renegade/vigilante/sociopathic persona that’s pretty decent also. Mad Max edges him out by a bit in a head to head comparison though. Oh, I almost forgot…...John Connor is a poser and Judge Dredd isn’t even in the running.
Bruce Campbell as “Stover” in Mindwarp. Nobody takes an ass kicking like him, then gets back up to finish off the bad guys.
I’m fond of Deacon, Dennis Hoppers role in Waterworld.
The Warrior of the Lost World, also known as The Rider, played by the guy from The Paper Chase. He has a supersonic speedcycle which contains the soul of Laurie Anderson, and he does battle against the evil Omega headed by Donald Pleasence and, of course, the beloved MEGAWEAPON.
“Where are you headed?”
“Nowhere in particular.”
“Man, I wish I was you.”
Tallahassee from Zombieland.
Alice in the Resident Evil Trilogy. Raawwr.
Mad Max was the original and still the best.
I was going to say Mad Max but having recently seen Zombieland I think I gotta go with Tallahassee.
