I need cool sci fi voices.

Something maybe saying “Stasis Mode Entered” or something simmilar. I need something neat as a lock sound for my iPod lock sound.

Okay, so it might not be totally legal and kosher, but it should be almost too easy to get hold of some audio clips of Majel Barrett Roddenberry doing the voice of the ship’s computer on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

But any voice saying Stasis mode entered?

There’s probably nothing that specific online, but there are many free sound effects sites online.

You might try sifting through some RTS games for sound clips.

If you google “stasis mode entered” your question is the one and only hit. We have a winner! It’s hard to google something and only get one hit. You either get a lot, at least a few or none at all.

You won’t get something as silly as “Stasis mode entered”... but you might get something like “Security clearance verified.” at the very least a “beep beep beep… Program Complete” should do it.

GLADoS from the hit Valve computer game, Portal! She’s the funniest sarcastic robot overlord ever!

You know what would be hilarious? The quote by The Doctor (a hologram computer program) in Star Trek: First Contact.

“That’s not part of my program. I’m a doctor, not a doorstop.”

go here:

type all the words you want.
If you really want to go crazy with it – process the file when you’re done using an audio editing/processing program.

I don’t know if you have a macbook because I use a macbook and then I have a text to speech feature and I can choose a voice to do it,apple included about 20 voices and a large number of them are robots and aliens sound. You can use quicktime players audio recording feature to record the sound made from your macbook.
There is another way on a mac,it is by using garageband’s podcast feature and you can add effects and jingles under the category scifi and record your voice as sci fi as possible and change the pitch and tuning to make it sound even more scifi.
I have no idea how you sent the sound clip to your ipod for the ipod lock sound since I do not have a ipod but the above are 2 ways.

I only have a playlist.com.

I have it jailbroken so I can SSH into it and change system files:) Works like a charm.

I was going to suggest the text speech feature (that @vamtire mentioned), as well, because you can get it to say anything you want.

Or download and use Vocoder turned up to its max. iPhone app? I am T Pain.
