How do you spend your Sunday evenings?
Some people like Sunday, others don’t. I always liked Sunday evenings because of the ritual I had when I was little, which consisted of watching whatever low budget straight to TV drama movie that would play on a television station that no longer exists.
I’ve noticed that Sunday evenings seem special and almost ritual like for some people, maybe it has to do with zenning yourself up for a new week of work or school…anyways, what are your favourite ways to spend Sunday evening? Anything specific? Do you even like Sunday? (Whether you work on Sunday or not, all is valid.)

I like the freedom and Saturday night and the totally relaxed feeling of Friday night better. By Sunday night, I am slipping into getting-ready-for-the-week mode.
I usually don’t remember Friday and Saturday nights…
Sunday is a night for relaxing. Having had coffee and croissants for breakfast, reading the papers, then a Sunday roast about 3pm and lastly taking the dogs for a walk, all we want to do is sit and watch TV in the evenings with the dogs on our laps.
Quite a mundane day/evening really, but that’s how we like it.
Going to bed early and grumbling about having to get up early the next morning to go to work…
We have a nice big dinner, it’s the one day a week when we are all home in the evening. We eat, and we vege out in front of the tv or sit out on the back porch and chat.
Sundays are our family day. It’s the only day that all three of us are home day and night -so we hang out, do some housework, eat yummy food my wife makes and watch some tv.
My working week is variable, and my days off are not necessarily Saturday and Sunday. To me, no evening is different from any other, except Mondays when I go out to a local folk club.
Spent from the weekends exertions.Oh & sorting the kids school stuff for the morning.
Shucking peas and lobsters.
Trying to get motivated to have a really decent and productive week.
Feeding hot cheetos to my dog.
And trying to get comfortable in my bed to a picture of you, but that’s practically every night. XD
For the rest of the Summer it will be bowling with my 2 boys on our summer league. After that it is crashing on the recliner for some relaxing!
I work Sundays so it’s just a matter of if I take an opening or closing shift. If my bf gets off work early then I take the early shift so we can have a meal together, maybe go out somewhere.
Thinking how awesome it’d be to win the lotto so I don’t have to go to work the next day.
We usually go out for dinner, come home, watch tv…that’s about it.
Sundays are movie days for me and my friends. We get up early, watch movies all day and night and enjoy the time together.
I pick up all the toys the boys have left out after their folks take them home, and clean out the garage so we can get the car back in there (used as a playroom over the weekend). I have a glass or two or three of wine to relax. I usually wash all the sheets and bedding on Sunday night, since it’s not convenient to do laundry while my toddler grandsons are here.
I fix the lunches for my husband to take to work during the coming week, packing left overs, sandwiches and salads. I go to “On Demand” to watch the TV shows I may have missed during the week, and do my blog entries.
My husband and I usually watch a movie, or True Blood when it’s in season (so glad it’s back!). We veg out on the couch, alternating his legs on my lap with mine on his. A little downtime before he goes to bed early. Then, I’m up all night doing laundry or dishes and working/playing on the computer.
@augustlan That sounds like us, he goes to bed around 11 pm, and my work begins after that.
look, every Saturday I stay up all night, and I go to sleep at Sunday morning, so I spend my Sunday evenings still sleeping
