Quite regularly…that is the best part of being in love. Good for you too!

I share my abundance of love with the three women in my life, my wife, my daughter and my mother. right now, my love is extremely aimed at my mother. she is 92 years old, in the hospital with congestive heart failure. i am not sure what the future holds for her. she lays in her hospital bed with mittens on her hands, to prevent her from detaching the ivs in her arms. she is frail and weighes about 95 pounds. so, you can see why my point of love is now dedicated to my mother. my wife has been an angel in helping me care for her.

It was my big sister’s birthday (her 49th). She’s been having a rough last couple of years and we’re all really worried about her (mental and physical health. I’ve talked about her before on Fluther). There seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel for her.

I hadn’t seen her in a month. She has sort of pulled away from family. I miss her dearly and wanted to do something special for her for her birthday. She knew that my girlfriend and I were coming to visit her on Sunday, but, when we came, we brought cake, wine and picked up the most beautiful (large) clay pot, soil, along with a flowering plant to go with it. When I saw the plant, I knew that that was for her. The color and everything about it shouted “Lisa”. It was bright and cheerful, so full of life and reminded me of the sister that I once knew. She loved it.

I also wrote her a poem and picked up a few other things that were “so her”. Things that meant a lot to her. I told her that I’m proud of her and that my Mom would be, too.

I really wanted her to have a great birthday and she said that I made it wonderful. I got to see my niece and according to my sister, I’m the cat’s ass as far as my niece goes. She looks up to me and loves me to bits.

Anyhow, I just wanted to do what I could do to show my sister that she’s loved.

I love her so much.

I blame part of this post on my ovaries.

Of course, I’m a mom, after all.

Oh, yes, and it is a wonderful feeling, isn’t it?

You’re a great sister @jjmah .

I have felt that way too, particularly for my babies.

My sister’s kids. ohmygodilovethem. They’re part of the reason why I don’t want any kids of my own. If I loved anything more than I love them, it would hurt so much I would die. And if I loved someone else’s kids more than my own, I’d feel like a shit. XD

Yes I have..I miss that feeling very much…I’m getting to the point where I think it is purely hormonal

@john65pennington – may your mama get through it all smoothly and may things go as well as possible for you all!

@jmah You’re a wonderful person. I felt that way for my Meg the entire 15 years we had together. Meg’s niece comes from the same abusive background, she looks to me for guidance and I hope that I can be an example to her of how a man is supposed to behave.

There is an old Police song, called Walking on the Moon. That is exactly how I felt during that First Love. I felt like every step bounced me, and gravity had less grip.
I miss that feeling.

Other than my with child….one other time.

And I was taken quite by surprise as it was so unexpected….this person had/has no idea the impact that they had on me. I don’t know if they ever will.

Yes and I love the different types of love I feel. I love my husband so much, and I love my kids so much, and my cats. All make me feel so swelled up with love.

Yes. I know that feeling well.

That was a very endearing and wonderful gift for your sister. I am always full of love. I offer to hug random strangers and get a gushy feeling a sinking one when they don’t when they allow it to happen.

certainly. it’s one of my favourite things to experience in the whole world.
