the beauty itself. life really is beautiful.
The act of living is beautiful. Being able to perceive the beauty of the world around us.
I was going to answer children, but then I saw @ChazMaz‘s answer and I concur with him.
For me it’s nature and love.
It’s great that you guys think this…
a good cup of coffee very early in the morning while reading the paper!
is someone a little bummed?
I really do think life is beautiful. everything that is living – flowers, children, fishies and birds. :)
Jennifer Edwards said it best for me
“The beauty of life is, while we cannot undo what is done, we can see it, understand it, learn from it and change. So that every new moment is spent not in regret, guilt, fear or anger, but in wisdom, understanding and love.” – Jennifer Edwards
“A man has missed something if he has never woken up in an anonymous bed beside a face he’ll never see again, and if he has never left a brothel at dawn feeling like throwing himself into the river out of sheer disgust with life.” — Gustave Flaubert
It seems to, tragically enough, be everything that’s ephemeral. It’s a great way to appreciate something, anyway.
That, and Silent Hill.
That it is the universe’s means of getting to know itself.
Beauty itself! “the Beautiful itself, absolute, pure, unmixed, not polluted by human flesh or colors or any other great nonsense of mortality.” And then in recognizing this beauty, giving birth to true virtue, i.e. living a virtuous life. Thanks Diotima!
“But where was it when I first heard that sweet sound of humility? It came to my ears in the goddamn loveliest melody; how grateful I was then to be part of the mystery: to love and to be loved. Let’s just hope that is enough.”
Life’s beauty according to Mr. Oberst
“Let us endeavor so to live that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.”
– The Tragedy of Pudd’nhead Wilson and the Comedy of the Extraordinary Twins
Mark Twain
The beauty of life….is in the recognition that all we have is this moment, right here and right now. If we can see that, then we become the beauty that is life.
It’s in your perception of it.
The beauty of life derive from the wonders of the natural world and the love we experience from one another.
Life is miraculous, regardless of one’s interpretations, be it evoloution or creation.
Who cares…it’s magic, it’s mystery, it’s amazing!
It is ALL about SEEING the beauty in front of your face, in the moment!
Today I was waiting around at the car repair place while my car had an oil cahnge and AC service.
Not a very ‘beautiful’ place, in terms of aesthetics…BUT…I wandered out into the parking lot and spotted a weed with a lovely pink flower growing from a crack in the asphalt…made my day….awesome little bit of life thriving in a harsh circumstance.
It’s the little observations that really add up! ;-)
For me, the beauty of life lies with the possibilities therein.
@ipso are those angel tears on that precious godson of yours?

…words, thoughts, feelings; and above all else, experience. Words may help you understand a thing; but experience allows you to know. Yet there are some things you cannot experience. Thus, often we must turn to other tools of knowing… and those are called feelings, and so too, thoughts. To approach life with your highest thought, your clearest words, and your grandest feeling is to experience life with beauty in high aesthetics, and above all, deep response ability. While it should not be difficult for even the beginning student to recognize the highest, the clearest, and the grandest, I will recite these guidelines: The highest thought, is always that thought which contains joy. The clearest words are those words which contain truth. The grandest feeling is that feeling called love.
Joy. Truth. Love. These 3 are interchangeable; and one always leads to the other, it matters not which order they are placed. Yet, even without these 3, life still has much beauty.
So then my answer is experience. Experience is the grand vehicle through which simply existing becomes living.
@lucillelucillelucille That’s a really good quote! I’ve never heard it… probably because I don’t read much. =1 But yea, good rhetoric; great message! I’m gunna try to hang onto that one for sure.
It involves anything Conan the Barbarian would say.
Experience is the grand vehicle through which simply existing becomes living.
That we are in human form and therefore can enjoy experiences though senses.
