Why are cigarettes filters white and yellow?

Cigarette makers try to make a cigarette thats also easily identifiable to the smoker. just about all cigarette papers are white, so in order to identify your cigarette in an ashtray, manufacturers attempt to modify the filters, so you will recognize yours. i do not know this as a fact, but it makes sense.

And as for your second question – what do you mean by “best”? I mean, you’re sucking tar and rat shit through a piece of fiberglass.

I think it’s because they are warning people that they will have yellow teeth but people don’t listen so they keep on smoking:)
