Can we promote products and/or an agenda with our Fluther profile?

I came across a Fluther profile that not only promotes cigarette smoking but provides a link where to buy them.
Can we do such things?

Wow. It will be interesting to get this answer. It would create a whole new fluther.
Profile pages are the only location where promotions and links are allowed on Fluther. Linking within posts is considered spamming.

I used to have this link on my profile but I sold my shares of the stock. I am thinking of buying stock in Scooby Snacks now. :)
@Dog Molly (my dog) loves Scooby Snacks! She will pass up milk bones for a Scooby Snack any day.
So far, we allow it. If it got out of hand, or people were promoting illegal things, I’m sure we’d rethink it.
I have a bridge for sale . . . .
Maybe this is one idea that would truly benefit by another classification. I know that I don’t llike to be ‘tricked’ into reading something like that.
