What are the best ways to find a person who is missing abroad?

My ex-husband (we are talking more than 30 years now) disappeared many years ago (around 1992). His family has not heard from him since, not a word. He is Scandanavian, and has an unusual name. There are two or three people online with that name, but none are him. We all just want to know what happened to him.

Post his name in a very prominent place on the net so if/when he does a google or yahoo search on himself he will see it and maybe get in contact with you.
Set up a facebook account in his name complete with pictures and see if there are hits. Let his friends find him for you.
