Anyone have a yummy dessert recipe that has equal parts sugar and flour?

Asked by JLeslie (65719points) June 18th, 2010

I combined three cups of sugar and three cups of flour accidently, I won’t bore you with the story, and now I have it sitting in a container. If you have a dessert recipe you love that could help me use it up, I would appreciate it. If your recipe calls for less I can do the doubling and tripling. Thanks.

Make bread with sugar!

It’s already been mixed? You can’t scoop them out and salvage some of each?

That sounds like a good start for cookies or cake.
Wish I had time right now to look some up for you.

@TheOnlyNeffie Already mixed. The long story is I made a coca cola cake, which you start by mixing the two. Next I needed to make my pound cake, and I was in the same mode still of the coca cola cake, and mixed the two and then realized I was not supposed to for that cake. Thank goodness I had enough of each to start over for the pound cake, but now I have the flour and sugar mixture left over.

How about this Pound Cake? It looks easy.
Pound Cake

I know that you aren’t supposed to mix them together first, and the result might be a little off, but maybe not too bad.

Ooops! I see it was Pound Cake that you made the mistake with in the beginning.

Make a second coca cola cake and take it to work or to a local charity.

Just mix in the extra amount of flour required for another recipe. If it says 1 cup sugar, 3 cups flour, add 2 more cups of flour. I think I have a a strudel recipe that uses that mix. It doesn’t matter what order you mix them together if that’s what bothers you.
